White Water Bay Theme Park
White Water Bay is a water park in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
built in 1981. Originally built by the Herschend Family
Entertainment Corporation, it was sold to Frontier City in the
mid 1980s, which was later picked up by Six Flags. Both
attractions were sold again in a seven park package by Six
Flags On January 11, 2007 for $312 million dollars. White Water
Bay is now currently owned by CNL Income Properties. CNL leased
White Water Bay to PARC Management.
From the thrills of the 6-story-tall Mega-Wedgie slide and
Big Kahuna tube ride to the leisure of floating in Castaway
Creek, the park has something for everyone.
White Water Bay has everything from the thrilling to the
leisurely. If you want to make your heart race, try:
The Mega Wedgie, a 277-foot long speed slide that features a
breathtaking 64-foot free fall into the cool water below.
The Acapulco Cliff Dive, Hold on to your heart as you race
down this monster, high-speed 'free-fall' slide.
The Bermuda Triangle, Take your pick or ride all three of
these wet and wild adventure slides.
Cannonball Falls, You'll shoot into the water after an
eight-foot drop on either of these two thrilling slides!
The Big Kahuna, This family tube ride takes up to four
passengers down a flume slide and into a four-foot pool for a
splash landing.
Swashbuckler Flumes Tube, Race down this awesome,
one-passenger flume slide.
Castaway Creek, Even the less adventurous can have fun with
a leisurely float down the easy-going Castaway Creek.
Shipwreck Island, An activity pool with wobbly Lily Pads,
jumping rocks, and two awesome body slides: Calypso Cannonball
and Blackbeard's Revenge.
Keelhaul Falls, Shallow water tube ride that floats
passengers from one pool to the next via short drops and
slides.
Pirates's Plunge, Tube flume slide that takes riders through
a dark tunnel and out into the west end of Shipwreck
Island.
The Wave Pool, Hang ten dude! You'll see some serious
surfin' action on these wicked waves!
Oklahoma City's White Water Bay is the premiere amusement
park for outdoor fun in the water around the metro area. Owned
and operated by Six Flags Theme Parks, Inc. for some time
before being sold in early 2007 to Florida-based PARC
7F-Operations Corp, White Water opened in 1981 and has over 25
acres of water fun including rides, slides and pools.
